A peek inside The Browser Company's Arc

Hey friends!

Welcome to another edition of The Report. In this week's edition, I'm excited to talk about a new browser that I've been using for a while now! This new browser, called Arc, is developed by The Browser Company and has been making quite the impression all over the internet.

Arc is a fresh new take on current browsers and offers a unique set of features that make it stand out from the competition. The way you interact with your browser is primarily through the command bar (⌘ + T) which can:

• Open/Switch to a new tab

• Open an Easel or Note

• Manage your Spaces

• Open up Little Arc (Mini-version of Arc)

• Create new documents in Notion, Google Docs, Figma and more!

Using this command bar has improved the way I work and has increased my efficiency by a lot! Another equally important feature of Arc is “Spaces”. Spaces essentially divide your tabs based on a specific workflow or area. I have three Spaces myself - School, Personal and Newsletter (shown above). 

Spaces have different pinned tabs but the same Favorites. Favorites are tabs you want to access across your Spaces and some of them can even provide live previews (like the Gmail tab that shows me if I have any new emails just by hovering on the tab). Previews currently work with a multitude of apps including Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, Outlook, Figma and GitHub. 

Another feature of Arc’s that I absolutely love is the ability to work in split view. For me, the best use case of the split view feature is to have a tab open on one side and use a Note or an Easel on the other side to take notes and capture inspiration on the go. 

With it’s amount of customizability, ease of use, and unique feature set, Arc has truly won my heart. It checks all the requirements I would have of a modern day web browser and makes it an absolute joy to use. To access Arc, consider signing up to their waitlist here!
