Hey friends!
Welcome to another edition of The Report. This week's newsletter, I'll be talking about a tool that I am quite excited to test out. Apple previewed their new tool, known as "Freeform" in their WWDC'22, which is supposed to be releasing later this year. This is a white-board style app that works seamlessly with other collaborators via FaceTime.
Freeform is the ideal tool for teams to brainstorm, draw, bring together ideas or even just play tic-tac-toe virtually. It is fully supported by the Apple Pencil and offers users the ability to embed files and documents without worrying about space and size constraints. You can also add in text, handwritten notes, post-its and more, to truly customize your space without limits.
While Freeform is ideal for the iPad, it will also be joining Apple’s other devices, namely the iPhone and MacBook product lines. However, Freeform will most likely only be available to devices that are able to support iOS 16, MacOS Ventura and iPadOS 16.
Freeform will not be rolling out with the MacOS Ventura and iPadOS 16 updates this month, but will be added later on this year. If you’ve been looking for a more powerful version of Apple’s Notes app, then Freeform is the tool for you. It is ideal for teams who are brainstorming and serves as a great dashboard for project-specific tasks. A more in-depth review of Freeform will also be published once the app comes out!
