Hey friends!
Welcome to another edition of The Report. In this week’s newsletter, I’m finally going to be talking about Notion! Notion is an insanely popular app that everyone from students to startups use to run their entire life. While it was already a very polished application, Notion’s newest updates are so good that they warrant an entire edition of The Report.
Here’s five of my favorite updates so far:
1. Progress Bars
Until recently, if you wanted a visual progress bar in your database, you would have to use a formula to make it happen. Notion has finally released an update that lets you visualize your progress through a number, bars or rings that can be customized!
2. Notion Icons
Notion’s customizability has created an endless amount of ways to make your Notion page uniquely yours. Notion's page icons are an important part of maintaining your visual aesthetic and now, Notion finally offers their own set of custom icons in ten different colors.
3. Default Templates
Notion has also released an update to let you set default templates within your databases! The next time someone adds a new Notion page to your database, it will be the template you set as default.
4. Status Properties
Notion’s new status property is ideal if you have multiple status for a predetermined business process (or any process really). It adds a clean new way to view your work pipeline. Personally, I’m using this feature for a job hunt tracker!
5. Side Peek
Now, when opening a page from your Notion’s database, you can set the page to open at the side, so that you can see your page content on the right side, while still being able to interact with your database!
Notion has truly been ramping up on its updates and I'm excited to see where this goes! For now, which type of Notion user are you? Personally, I’m Little Miss Gifs as Notion Page Covers. Let me know yours by hitting reply!
